My artworks are rooted in nature, emphasizing its beauty, my love for flowers and the magic of everyday moments. My artworks reflect collected memories from travels or my home, either through vibrant landscapes or floral paintings. With my paintings, I want people to fall for nature again, getting it into their homes and bringing them joy.
My essays dive into different realms, helping me to explore my writerly self more deeply after having almost lost my passion for writing some time ago. Right now, I enjoy a nature-writing kind of style, which combines my connections and observations of nature through the seasons, while living this life as a multi-hypenate creative introvert, who lives in a tiny village between the hills.
That green that tells you: it’s late into the year and soon there won’t be any more green left. Instead, it will make space for a small burst of either earthy, brown shades or an explosion of colours – yellow, orange and red showing off. Right now, autumn was giving you glimpses on what’s to come, a little cliff hanger if you will, a to-be-continued sign. - from Hello Autumn, it's good to see you.
This space is for getting nerdy about painting and art making and creativity. It’s for spreading the word about gentle, seasonal and slow living. Originally, long ago, my whole journey started with blogging and I still enjoy this way of sharing knowledge and wisdom and tips and tricks.
Well, I haven't told you yet, but I also have a newsletter.
Get first access to original paintings, studio insights and latest blog posts. It's my studio's journal for you to read. Open and honest, stress-free and always accessible for you.
BONUS: The monthly "Inside Painting" Series, where we dive into all aspects of painting, I share my tips and tricks, knowledge and aren't afraid to ask the real difficult questions (in search of answers).
