Christmas Ornament “Hawthorn” 2023

Add nature’s wonder and joy to your Christmas tree with these ceramic ornaments, shining bright with their red-dotted hawthorn berries. Christmas is frosty and cool, but also joyfully red and green, so I painted these Christmas ornaments with cool blues, dark purple and earthy tones as botanical elements, accompanied by little hawthorn berries, making them a unique addition.

On many cloudy and moody autumn walks, the little red dots of hawthorn (DE: Weißdorn) berries were a bliss to me, shining bright and red along the way. They are loved by birds in winter, make beautiful home decoration and are even known for their good impact on the heart, keeping it strong and calm. They have a unique look, with their deep blue brush stroke, botanical and floral elements and the berries glimpsing here and there. All hand-painted, they are actually little originals, as none looks like the other. As they caught my eye very often, I added them to these Christmas ornaments.

Note on sustainability: I’d love to present you a sustainable Christmas ornament, but it wasn’t possible for me this year. So, make them sustainable by keeping them for a very long time.
